Amendment XV

Amendment XV

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

This is the guaranteed right to vote for every citizen.  This says that this right will not be denied ever.  This Amendment prohibits denial by based race or color etc.  This is important because as an African American citizen this means everything to have voice no matter how small.

I thought this picture was a good representation of this Amendment.  It also demonstrates someone exercising their right to vote.
