Amendment IV

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This Amendment is equally as important as all of the rest because it protects the people and helps them to be safe in their homes.  The police have to have a warrant to search and obtain any evidence.  Its important to understand and know this right especially to make sure that they are not being taken advantage of.
